Acne Vulgaris,Antioxidants

It is a medical term for common acne. It occurs when sebum and dead skin cells become trapped within the hair follicle, creating a plug within the pore. When the bacteria infect the pore, inflammation occurs, and leading to more serious form of acne.
While Antioxidants neutralise free radicals to keep skin supple and glowing. The body gets its supply of antioxidants from fresh fruits and vegetables. Most commonly known antioxidants include vitamins A, C and E,minerals copper, selenium and zinc.

Benzoyl peroxide,Baking soda
It's a common ingredient in acne-fighting products. It helps to kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces the number of clogged pores.
Baking Soda is an effective home remedy for acne. Mix with water to form a paste, apply to skin in a circular motion, leave on for a few minutes, rinse off and apply moisturizer. Baking soda removes bacteria and tighten pores. Can be used daily, unless you have very sensitive skin.

Chocolate
It's every girl's favorite. Actually, chocolate on its own does not cause acne, but a bad diet with too much sugar and fat can affect hormones, which in turn can affect sebum production and cause acne.

Dry Skin
Though there is sebum overproduction, the skin between the glands may be moisture deprived. That's why those people with dry and acne-prone skin should address the moisturisation problem as well as the acne problem.

Exercise, Exfloliate
With skin being the largest organ of the body, exercise brings enormous benefits, such as increased circulation, delivery of nutrients to skin cells, and removing potentially damaging toxins via sweat. Workouts also correct hormonal imbalances by producing less male-type hormones that contributes to acne flare-ups.
Exfloliate is an essential step to controlling acne is by eliminating dead skin cells that build up on the surface of the skin every day. This allows the skin to breath and regenerate more effectively. 

Facts and Figures
People of all races get acne; most common in teens and young adults between the ages of 12-24.
In most cases, acne problems are temporary, lasting for about three to four years; in some cases it can continue for 8-12 years. 
Woman with a lot of body and facial hair, and those who have irregular periods, may be increased risk of acne.

Genetics
Acne seems to be hereditary. If your mother had more acne, you are more likely to have more severe acne. If your parents did not have severe acne at all, you are less likely to suffer from greater acne.

Hormones
The hormones related to acne are androgens, found in both sexes, but generally higher in men. When levels are our of balance, the oil glands over-produce, resulting in acne. This happens to woman when they go through puberty, hit menopause, become pregnant, or menstruate. 

Ice
To instantly reduce swelling, close pores and lessen the severity of spots, wrap ice in a thin cloth and apply to the trouble spot

Jojoba Oil
This botanical extract of the seed of the jojoba tree isn't actually an oils, but a wax ester, which is said to be the most similar to human skin oil. It is theorized that jojoba can balancing oil production.

Kola Nut Extract
It is potent and natural anti-irritant that works to calm and soothe redness on blemished skin. It makes the cleanser a gentle solution for angry, acne-prone skin.

Lemon Juice
Another effective home acne treatment, it works as an astringent antibacterial and anti fungal. Mix the juice with honey or egg white and apply on acne with cotton. Leave it for 15 minutes.

Moisture, Make-up, Milk
Oily Skin needs moisture too, so the key is to use a light moisturizer to help your skin regulate itself.
It's a myth that you shouldn't wear make-up if you want to get rid of acne. Some make-up actually helps revitalize and protect skin, such as mineral-base make-up.
Milk contains hormones, including androgens, which are associated with acne. 

Non-comedogenic
When looking for face-care products, look for the words "non-comedogenic'' and "non-acnegenic." These products don't block pores.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids
Excessive fat intake may contribute to greater acne breakouts, but not all fats are bad. Good fats, such as Omega-3 Fatty Acids actually helps balance out oils in your skin for that healthy glow.

Popping Pimples
Very tempting but it is not recommended, as bacteria will spread more easily. But if you must pop a pimple, take a warm shower to soften the skin. Work only on zits with a distinct top that have a plus-filled centre. Gently prick the tip of the pimple with a sterilized needle, wrap a clean tissue around your index fingers and apply gentle pressure to the sides of the pimple to ease out the pus.

Quick Fix
Crush two aspirin tablets and mix with cool water to make a paste. Apply to pimple and let it dry overnight. The pimple is usually much less noticeable in the morning.

Raw Food
Raw food diet has shown in some cases to eliminate acne. Typically, at least 75 percent of the diet must be living of raw and include unprocessed whole foods. such as fresh fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, grains and seaweed.

Salicylic Acid
Effective in penetrating the follicle and encouraging the shedding of dead skin cells.

Tea Tree Oil
Proven to be just as effective as benzoyl peroxide.

UV rays
There's evidence that the sun's rays directly stimulate the sebaceous glands of the skin to produce more sebum, which would get trapped within narrowed hair follicles and result in whiteheads.

Vinegar
It's said to be an effective pimple remedy. Mix one-part vinegar and 10-parts water. Dab gently in pimple several times an day, but a wary of excessive use. Both regular vinegar and apple cider vinegar can kill bacteria and restore the skin's PH balance.

Water
Water is a essential to skin health. Drinking at least six eight-ounce glasses of water a day provides your body the hydration it needs to form new collagen and build healthy skin. Water also helps remove toxins from the body.

X,Acne don'ts
Don't wash r exfoliate face too frequently, as this may irritate pores and lead to the very problem you're trying to avoid. Wash gently with bare hands twice a day and exfoliate twice a week without rubbing to hard.
Keep hair off your face. Hair oils and product residue can cause clogged pores.

Yogurt
Effective in treating acne, it kills bacteria within hair follicles, strengthens the immune system and serves as a natural astringent. Apply directly to skin or consume as it is.

ZZZ
Get enough sleep because lack of sleep increase insulin resistance and the chance for inflammation, both of which are related to acne breakouts.

  3. These products simply try to hide your acne rather than cure it so you must continually rely on their product for any relief. Other problems with most acne products include creating new symptoms you must deal with such as dry skin, itching and peeling.
