Travel in Western Australia ( Part 2 )

5 May 2016

Finally have time to blog about my Western Australia Part 2 which is my favorite part of Australia!

Swan Valley are Margaret River are famed for wineries. If you have only one day, go to Swan Valley . But if you can spare 2 or 3 days, Margaret River is way more fun. Swan Valley are Margaret River are famed for wineries. Best place for the wine lovers! Overall, i really do enjoy hopping from one winery to the next, tasting good wines, enjoying the scenery and eating good food in Margaret River. It is like a bigger version of Swam Valley but with more activities and attractions!

Margaret River is only a three-hour drive south of the city, it is the perfect location for a weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of Perth City.

We stayed in Darby Park Serviced Residences
Bussel highway, Margaret River, WA 6285, Australia

It is located at the main street. The location is perfect because most of the good eatery (Margarat River Bakery and Swing Tapas) is just walking distance. Not to mention that, there is also a shopping street and some supermarket nearby. There is also a balcony right outside my room facing the forest. It's a quiet and relaxing surrounding. I can wake up with birds singing in the morning. ( Around RM500 per night )

First stop - BUSSELTON JETTY

The famous Busselton Jetty is situated in Geographe Bay. There is a very unique wooden jetty which is 1.8km long and there is an under water observatory at the end of it. To get to the under water observatory, you could either walk or take a ride on the Jetty Tram

We got our tram ticket on the spot.

There really is a train track there! And there is a tram that takes you down to the end where the underwater observatory is!
Here we are at the underwater observatory.
You can get to see different depths of the sea and it is also a guided tour included in the tickets

The view of the jetty is just breathtaking.

After that, we had our lunch at The Goose Beach Bar + Kitchen which is just located by the jetty.
What's better than having a lunch with a view that can't beat?

The food is good too! Especially the pizza and fries!

NEXT

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART! The Canoe Tour !!
We actually signed up for the Cave and canoe tour in Margaret River. Paddling upstream to visit along the riverbank and we also explore the bush, walking along the ridge to a cave during the tour!
It is our first time canoeing and i have to say this is really really fun! My shoulders are like super sore the next day are canoeing, what a great workout! Hahaha

We got life vests provided, it is slow currents and safe river conditions.

My teammate- Careen who are really sneaky. Hahaha.

Exploring the bush with our tour guide.
The view of the top is simply amazing.
There is also a Bushtucker lunch given for us to taste a variety of bush tucker.
It is my first time having picnic in the bush too! What a great experience!

VOYAGER ESTATE

The best places to eat and enjoy good wines in Margaret River where you're spoilt for choice. Voyager Estate is one of the highest end of the wineries. They offer tours and tastings that allowing guests to get into the vineyards to see, touch and hear what goes into making wines. You can book it online before your visit here - http://www.voyagerestate.com.au/wine-room/
I really really love this place!!! Sorry for not taking a lot photos of the place because i was really enjoying the environment, food and wines. If you followed my snap chat during my trip, you'll see how beautiful this place is. It was totally an amazing and memorable experience.
With each chapter, our waiter poured the wine and explained the symbolism of elements on each plate. It was a sumptuous, sensory, memorable meal, rich in flavour and texture as well as the pride and history of Voyager Estate’s story. It took three hours for this meal, but it worth all the while!
It is around $150 includes six wines paired to each course

This beef is PERFECTTTTT, so tender and juicy! Heavenly melted in my mouth.
